75g tank

Does anyone know if I can fit a glass 75g tank on the backseat of my Honda Accord? The tank is 48x20x18.
I tried to measure the space but it's a bit difficult to figure it out.

Thanks

Highly doubt it. Sorry this isn't the answer your looking for. It barely fits in my ext cab pickup.

I don't think so - the door handles will likely crimp in on the tank. If it were just one tiny area that was 48" long - yes you could likely angle it - but because you have 18" of height - it really limits your ability to angle the tank.

You could try lowering the passenger seat all the way back and seating it in that way. It will likely fit but just go over the pot holes gently...

I'm sure it will fit, but getting it in and out is the question-- the doors may not open far enough so you would have to angle it in which means the front seats would have to be moved forward....only one way to find out.....

or

perhaps email honda???

I might just try to fit it in and if it doesn't work, I'll get it delivered
I'll let you know how it goes

Barely fits in your truck??? If this is a full size truck then you have a 6ft or 8ft X 4ft (between the wheel wells) bed. My truck (ext cab) has a 6ft bed with a tool box and a 4ft tank fits just fine with plenty of room to spare.

it wont fit, even though if it is, you will have hard time to put it in and take out at angle, and abit risky that way since it is quite heavy. I hauled my 75 AGA on back of my 95 4 runner, i have to flipped my back seat forward in order get the whole tank it, it is big and long than the dimesion looks. good luck

Do your seats fold down? you could try to lay the front seat down and go from front to back. Getting it in and out of the vehicle might be the hard part.

I decided my car wasn't big enough and didn't want to take a chance. I think I'll buy it from a different place and pay a bit more and get it delivered. Just in case. I don't usually have very good luck with these things

Thank you everyone for all the helpful tips.

Go rent a small U-Haul. They are only about $20. Most places you can order a tank from will only ship as frieght, meaning it is delivered to a freight dock or a commercial location only, and you still have to pick it up.

Even if it fit in the back seat, you'd spend more on a chiropractor. If you haven't lifted a tank of this size, you might want to before making any decisions. These dudes are HEAVY.

I found a store that will deliver free of charge, so I'll just get it from there as soon as they get them in again. They were sold out.
Hopefully they'll carry the tank all the way upstairs. LOL
Now I'm just getting worried about moving the stuff around.

We'll just buy some 2x4's and build the stand. I think we'll save a lot of money that way and I can spend the money on corals

I bought a 4 foot tank and I managed to fit it in my Honda Accord.
It didn't fit in the trunk but it was ok on the back seat.
I even managed to bring the stand home on the back seat. That was a bit tight but it worked out too.
