Aquanight is right most public aquariums do not take fish, but I have some rare fish as far as a public aquarium goes and they seem ready to take them if the time comes. I have never seen a full adult colored titan trigger in a public aquarium or a home aquarium and that is my mission as I am facinated by triggerfish. If anyone has a Titan trigger in there public or home aquarium in full adult colors please post pics!!!!!scottycameron I would add the Blueface first for sureand make sure it is bigger than the Emperror and I would not try it in anything less than a 180 gal tank with plenty of hidding caves.Good luck!!!!

I just upgrade my sump and added a big canister filter for extra mechanical and chemical filteration so the tank is a little stirred up right now as soon as it is cleared up later tonight I will take the FULL TANK SHOTS every one is asking for so please be paitient.I will also ad some pics of some of my other tanks at a later date.I just orderd a 300 96x24x30 to move half of those fish into the new tank from the existing 300 above.I think the triggers will like the extra 3 feet swimming length.

My Titan is now about 4 1/2". He is growing very quickly and is getting close to the size of my clown trigger. When I bought him about 6 months ago, he was only about 3" - 3 1/2". We'll see how he does in the long term.

Wow nice fish! How old is the tank?

How long do you think you can keep the Starry Puffer before it gets too big for that tank? How long have you already had him? How big is he now?

How does the Blueline Trigger react in the tank with the others? I have one now and my Niger beat the tar out of him so bad that my blueline jumped in my overflow.

I might try to add him back in and take out the niger, but am sure that it will cause another war.

Stellatus or Starry Puffer

justinpsmith I think it will be several years befor he outgrows this tank, but a new tank is beiing orderd today which will give him 3 feet more length. This guy is very lazy he does not swim much.I have had him since December 06 he was 3 inches then now he is about 8 inches.

ccampbell57 I would definatley move the Niger trigger blue lines are a lot better looking than a niger and harder to get plus they do not handle stress well. What sizes are your triggers?I think sense my tank is very larg and the over crowding sems to help with the aggression believe it or not, it is just to hard for one fish to single another fish that way.

Hey Reefer. I already made the decision to take the Blueline back to the LFS that I got him at. He is indeed a great looking fish with an unreal personality (better than all my angels and my tangs), but he has become quite skiddish since the attack and anytime anything goes in the water he just freaks out.

My niger is about 4.5-5 inches (without streamers). The blueline was about 4in. The niger however has a much larger gerth. He has also had to keep himself inline with a 3x size Emperor and Blueface Angel for the last 2 years.

I love triggers and have decided to add a 5.5inch Sargassum trigger. She is coming home this weekend.

Titan*69 The Undulate trigger is one of the smallest triggers in there for a reason because of there bad temperments. He pretty much leaves everyone else alone he just cruises the bottom in the rocks and keeps to himself. The Gray trigger that I had in there was smaller than the 3 inch undulate when I got him and now 3 months later he is almost 7 inches and a real terror I have since moved him to my 60 gal sump until he goes into my 125.

ccampbell57 To bad about the Blueline ,Nigers are sweet to I have 4 of them including one in my reef tank as well as Titan trigger.Good luck with the Sargassum Trigger they are very cool looking I have had several but they never seem to live more than about 2 weeks after aquring them,I think if I get another one I will try it in my reef tank but if that does not work I will not ever buy another as they are just to fragile and pretty to let dye in an aquarium.I hope you have liverock in your tank because I think that might be the key to keeping them alive also make sure you alk and ph are in line as they seem sensitve to those water parameters the most as with a lot of other triggers in my experiences with them.Good luck and please keeep us posted on how the Sargassum trigger does.

Hey reefer...yea, the list of trigs you have would definitely not house a Sargassum or more sensative trigger like the crosshatch/blue jaw.

I have 275lbs of marshal islands and fiji live rock which keeps water params impecable. I also have a 55 gallon refugium with a G3 skimmer that keeps everything in line.

I will send pictures of the tank once the sargassum is out of QT.

Does anyone bother your lion? It seems to be front and center in every full tank short.

No question in my mind, over time the Queen Trigger will eventually be the boss. And in even more time (by around 6-9 inches) the Titan will battle and it will not be pretty.

The queen trigger and the titan are AWESOME specimens for the trigger family, but due to their size and aggressiveness they will more than likely mame or kill others.
