JEBO Protein Skimmer?

Are Jebo protein skimmers any good? Are they worth buying or is it just a waste

I've heard a couple decent comments about them being used on much smaller tanks than what their rated for but it's definatly a lower quality skimmer. What size tank are you working with?

Hi there, I have a couple Jebo products and I gotta tell you some of thier stuff is good and some is on the cheaper end. The light that I have 192watt power compact I love - UV Steralizer is simple enough and seems to work, BUT a protien skimmer I would probably pay extra $$ for something better. I am curently using a Octopus 110 recirculating and it does a great job I jsut need to figure out how to get more water pushed through it. ASM makes a good protien skimmer I have heard also. Little expensive but if it all that you are using to take waste out of the water I would not skimp and get a cheaper one ;-) Just some friendly advise especially now that I see how much $$ you are going to have living in that tank!!

If you are going to invest in a skimmer go ahead and get a good one cause it sucks when you have to get rid of the crapy one and buy the better on you should of bought to begin with.

I have a jebo 520 modded with a beckett and a recir on a 75 and love it. There are some pics in the gallery if you would like to see. Butch one week is not enough for any skimmer to break in and think you should give it a little more time, and do not use the pump that comes with it becouse that thing it junk. It is rated for about 650- 700 GPH at 90 watts thats like putting a heatter in the tank. Check this out http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...8#post11240348
