Anthias
hey i have a 65 and have a small pair of perculas and two 1" chromis in my tank. i want to put some anthias in there how many would you say and what tipe do you like?
and not DISPARS i had two of them once and they whent in my tank and perched them selvs on a rock and starved them selfs to death!! lol |

Dispars are a fairly hardy species as anthias go. IMO only Lyretails are hardier but not by much. 65g is a bit small for anthias. I would recommend 90g or more due to their natural movements.
If you do get some try 1M and 1or 2 F.

I'd really have to disagree about dispars being hardy, both from personal experience to what I've heard from fellow reefers.
Stick to lyretails, bartlett, redbar....

I have 3 bartletts and they are all doing great! they eat well and very active. My mystery wrasse even joins in their school wishing he was an anthia LOL

Maybe try a single Lyretail. I started out with a single male and he did great for over a year (with only 1 larger feeding per day) until my power went out for 12+ hours. I now have two females and they have been doing fine for about 1-1/2 years. The larger female does occationally bully the smaller one, so you'd probably be better with just one. HTH
