Aquascaping!

Just had to complain about how frustrated i am trying to redo my aquascape! I have been up all night and have gotten very little accomplished. Im not happy! all my corals are on the sand bed and the rocks are in a rubbermaid tub. Why doesnt reef epoxy (putty stuff in a tube) work in my reef? What gives!!! im about to give up so what do you all think of my new aquascape?

What a nightmare! sorry about the terrible pics but it just wasnt worth the effort of taking nice ones!

im thinking about leaving ity as is im way to frustrated with it right now!

i don't like using anything other than the rocks to hold them up. my rock wall is a good 16" or higher, all stacked enough so they do not wobble. aquascaping, and reaquascaping, and reaquascaping is a pain, but once you get it right, you'll leave it alone (till your next coral that is)

im trying to putty rock together and the putty just wont stay!
Im actually on a roll right now and it's lookin awesome! so lets hope i dont accidently knock something over and have a domino effect.
Normally my waspfish just chill on the bottom of the tank and dont ever swim in the water column but of coarse today is the day they decide to swim all over the place! It is pretty nerve racking trying to avoid getting stung!

lmao!!!

Yo craig, you let the epoxy star to get hard b4 you tried to put it on the rock?? it usually takes a good while for it to start getting hard, but when it does its pretty solid. I have not used it to put rocks together yet but i have used it for a lot of frags, and i have come to learn that it takes a while for that crap to harden enough to feel comfy it will hold. Scape def looks good though mang.

Lookin good so far , Im a big fan of the open look . Let those corals grow an fill up space . IMHO epoxy is a pain . Youd be better off with a drill some pvc racks and zip ties . Much easier to create the shape you want . BTW I found a shirt for you .

I found the epoxy on rock work only works if you do one layer at a time and give plenty of time for the epoxy to finish curing (takes a while to have the strength to hold the heavy rocks as compared to just mounting a frag).

As for being a real reefer, I have a rabbitfish and sometimes I wonder what it would feel like to get stung...and then I think that is almost as bad as bpd doing the Taser thing!

An artist's work is never done.......keep at it Craig....lol......

I've spent a few afternoons into the evenings....trying to place rock "just right"...........and periodically when I get tired of the scape I go back and do it again......we're all just gluttons for punishment, comes with the hobby...
