Tank is having sand storm issues again. I hate fine sand sometimes.

Full tank pic.

I'll post some more soon. Sorry about clarity. Hope to resolve that soon.

IT looks big but that is because all my other tangs are so small. My hippo is much smaller then yours RJ. I knew the hippo and yellow are the more agressive so I made sure they stayed small. So far, it's working.

Seio is doing good. Because of the constant stand, it has an issue of starting up when I turn it off. (At least I believe that is the issue)

More pics Amanda. Where are you! I'll start by adding this pic of the fearsome 4 going at the nori. It's neat watching these guys. No fights and really friendly.

Hey all. Here's my latest full tank shot. I'm in the process of moving some of the critters to my 55 gal to reduce the bioload (and hopefully the hair algae).

Any constructive criticism would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dave.

You have a lovely stock of corals and inverts. I think you just need to get some more purple and pink covered live rock in there and it will look awesome! You may want to get rid of the prefilter off the skimmer, from what I know they are nitrate factories

Keep up the good work.

Don't you have her number? Maybe she's burned out. I got that way for a few months before.

Hi everyone!!!!! I'm here and I'm huge! Sorry I haven't been on much, I"m just so tired at the end of the day with the kids and being pregnant, I just crash! But I have been reading up on posts and all of your tanks look aweome! I miss my 75 sooooo much, but am very much enjoying my seahorses!

I'm doing a water change today, and cleaning out some plant over growth.

Has anyone gotten any new fish or inverts? I haven't, the tank has been fully stocked for several months and things are fantastic, so I won't be changing anything for a long time.

Now that my horses are older, I can tell they are both definetly male. They are very cute and very happy.

Hope you are all well!

Amanda

glad everything is going well. time really flies! i guess you are getting kind of close huh!?

i havent added anything in the last few months myself. im finally stocked as far as fish goes, and i dont have any room for corals. i could prolly sqeeze some more in, but ill just get myself in the situation you had with your 75.......not enough space for anything to grow

glad you are doing well! i guess your family is good also. i know its tough, but id really like to see a current pic of your tank....nothing special just one full tank shot if not i totally understand. i havent taken a pic of mine for a week or 2, and i dont have any kids (not to mention constantly carrying one ).

we miss you Amanda, and cant wait for things to normalize for you (if that'll happen with all your kids ).

Are you clearing out any of that red macro algae? Would you ship any? My tangs would probably love that stuff

Glad to see your still hanging around, Amanda! Your girls must be getting excited about the baby! Maybe you can add your opinion to this.
After several months of just aging, I think my 55 gal is finally ready for rockscape and stocking. I spent a few hours scrubbing the rock clean of hair algae and began trying to place it. I don't know how you all seem to be able to stack your rock up so high, but the best I can seem to manage without it being very unstable is in the pics.

I'm keeping it away from the back glass so there is swimming room but that really limits my options with the aquascaping. Any helpful hints, suggestions?
Thanks, Dave.

Dave, i think some bigger pieces are in order for stacking it higher. i use larger pieces than that, and use my back glass. it looks pretty sweet. if you ise some other pieces to elevate all of your flat pieces, that will gove you some nice spots for corals.

Landon, I was just looking at some pics in your gallery to get an idea. How deep is your tank front to back? Mine is a standard 55 which only gives my 12" to work with. This also limits me when stacking my rock.
Dave.

this was my fgirst tank it was a 29 gallon tank. i think with similar demensions as your 55. it was 20" or so high x 12" wide and (diiferent than the 55) 30" long. i had the rock stacked up against the back wall.

my 75 is the exact same as the 55, but its 18" wide, giving me a bit more room to scape with.

heres my most recent full shot

and a shot from the end to show the depth. i wish i had some shots like this if the 29.

i have much more recent ones in my photobucket gallery. to check them out click my red house

Landon, so you don't worry about the dead zone between the back glass and the rock? Your 29 gal looks great, I'd like to do something similar with mine.
Dave.
