Hi everyone! Well, I don't mind being split, anything is better than the lounge!

Cool news!!! My green banded gobies had babies!!!!! They are so cute! and tiny! I saw what I thought was about 100 of them. I thought for sure the horses would have all of them eaten by the day's end, however, they never touched them, probably too small. However, their parent ate them LOL
By the 2nd day, there were only 4 left and they were gone by the end of the 2nd day. I know they'll have more again, hopefully next time they won't eat their babies!!!

The horses are doign great and getting big. They have become finicky with their food and it's rather annoying. One day they won't like the larger mysid, the next day, they don't like the smaller mysid, and sometimes, they don't even eat the whole mysid, just the eyeballs! Silly horses. I'm using 3 different brands of mysid for variety as well as live brine occassionally.

Hope you all are doing well, the thread has been quiet and no new pics, what gives??? Hey, Paul Pos, you still there? Did you get your tank???????

Amanda

Amanda, Here is the latest full tank shot of my big Nano.

You can see on the bottom right that the Red Brain is still struggling. I had it in the back right, but now the Anthelia's are kinda taking over that back right corner so it had to come back up front.

Yep, I have a hard time getting any good closeups of the tang because she is so blue. The camera I think just has a hard time adjusting to so much blue.

Good grief, I thought Greg has lost his mind and started a nano.

You need a bigger tank RJ, it be getting crowded in there (and I don' t mean the fish).

Thanks Amanda, We could sure use to new pictures of your tank as well.

A new tank is in the designing process as to what I want to do. I want to keep my Dori and really think a 5' foot tank is the minimum that I would want for her in the long run. A 120g is big, but I think it may just not be big enough for what I want to accomplish in the long run as well as give her a little running room.

RJ - I have noticed some great threads on tanks from Miracles in Glass(sponsor) some 48x36x24's I think a great size is 60x30x24. Plus they do starfire mmmmm. But I have the same size tank at you and I won't be upgrading anytime soon or until I can throw one in a wall.

Were you ever able to find the PE Mysis shrimp locally? I can send you those links if you're still interested.

Landon, I am very impressed. I love how natural it looks. It isn't a wall build, it has like different angles and tone to it. And the coral placement is Keep it up and post more pictures!

Landon, fantastic!!!!!! I love the colors!!!! You should get some nice prints and make a little coffee table book!!! And send me a copy

Jordo, I'm so sorry about the mantis, however, that would explain a lot of missing things!!!!! Just be careful gettin ghim out, and don't kill him, the LFS will probably give you credit!

I'm doing a water change today, I'll get some pics after I'm done.

Hope you all have a great day!

Amanda

Amanda, thats funny thanks for the wonderful comment, but im no coffee table booker yet those pictures show my corals perfect but the overall shot, just isnt quite right. i have a nice blue tint to the tank that the white balance was taking out. Marc (melev) gave me some good tips a few nights ago and i think ive got it now. after the string of pics last night having almost perfect coloration im going to have to throw all of my other pitures out i wont discard them just yet, but i am going to keep them seperated

i must say again that i owe a lot of my success and knowledge to you and Rj. if it wasnt for you guys i wouldnt realize the importance of commitment and attention to detail. i dont do as big of water changes as you, but i do 5 or 6 small ones a month too keep up with my bio-load, and so far so good.

heres a pic from last night using Marc's trick for white balance

tank looks really nice. Takes forever on dial up on this verizon air card. You think San Fran would have a decent market for broadband services. Nice color throughout the whole tank. I was curious though, I noticed RJ is now saying Moved On. Did he cancel membership or something? I know there was that whole controversary on his thread but I was curious.
