Northeast PA -- want to trade fish for frags

Hey everyone!
I'm new to this board--I've been posting at the saltwaterfish.com boards for quite some time now, and I just recently came across this one. I don't want you to think I'm some kind of scam artist or anything--I just have two fish that need bigger tanks.

I have a yellow tang and a blue velvet damsel, both of which need new homes. They've grown considerably and are too big for my tank, and I want them to go to someone who has a big tank where they can be happy and have lots of swimming room.

I purchased the yellow tang right after it was shipped to my LFS--it went straight from the shipping bag into my tank. He's never had ich, popeye, lateral line disease, or anything like that. He's active, and a very good eater. The blue velvet damsel was given to me by a friend, and he hasn't had any infections or anything since I've had him, either. He's also active and a very good eater, and I've never seen him pick on any smaller fish in my tank or my friend's tank. They both take flake, frozen brine shrimp, and shrimp pellets, and the yellow tang also enjoys seaweed sheets and algae discs.

I'd like to trade them for any frags you're looking to get rid of. I have PC lighting, so only mushrooms and softies, no hard corals. Pulsing xenias, toadstool leathers, and zoo polyps are my favorites, but I'll take anything you have to offer as long as it will thrive in my tank.

I live in Wilkes-Barre, and I'm willing to meet you anywhere in the northeast PA vicinity, within reason. You can email me at xnikki118x@aol.com (put SWF trade or something as the subject so my spam blocker doesn't delete it) or IM me at xnikki118x on AIM. And, of course, you can also reply to this post. Sorry I don't have pictures...no camera. But both fish are about 2 inches long, and are fat and healthy.

Any takers? These guys need a bigger home.

He/she is roughly two inches long and 1.5 inches high, not including the dorsal and caudal fins. He's has been in my tank for nearly a year, and before that he was shipped from the ocean to wherever else to my LFS. Since he was wild-caught, it took a little bit of time to get him to start eating prepared foods, but he accepts them very graciously now. He's a great eater.

I have a 29-gallon also, and he/she definitely needs more room. I thought I'd be able to upgrade, but unfortunately, college=being poor.

*bump*

Anybody? I'd just like a couple frags of whatever you have to start building my reef, nothing super huge or of great value. I'm more concerned about getting these guys to a bigger tank.

ctsieber-- I'm trying to get away from damsels and into more peaceful fish, and I have crushed coral, not a sandbed. Sorry. =) Maybe some other time though we can trade stuff.

infared-- Wyoming, like as in by Exeter, as in a whole 5 minutes from W-B? If you do, I'm really happy because that's sooo close!!--and also really sad for you because this valley sucks.

I'm really impressed with your tank! I love your zoos, they're so bright, especially the ones with the green around them. The coral in the middle of your 12th picture, it almost looks like a candy cane? What is that? It's very neat....sort of like a bunch of little green brains together, sort of? Can whatever that is live under PC lighting? And in your 10th picture, the one with your yellow tang in it, do I see a xenia and a toadstool leather? Because I love those!!

Let me know which are the easiest to frag, and what that mystery coral in pic #12 is. =D Maybe we can work something out!!

You can email me at xnikki118x@aol.com (put like swfish or something as the subject so my spam blocker doesn't delete it) or just post on here, I'll check both. Hope to hear from you soon!

yea nikki, im only 5 mins from WB. the coral is named caulastrea, more commonly know as candycane coral, yea it will be fine under PC lighting, i had it under PC for 6 months b4 i upgraded to MH. i have a few heads about ready to split, when they do i can frag one. the zoas can be fragged at any time. yea that is xenia and a 2 toadstools. i bought one toadstool 3 years ago, since it had multiplied into 6, only 2 left. the xenia are pretty new, but already doubled in 3 months. everything in my tank has been kept under PC, so you are fine.

how old is your reef? what type of lighting (watts), and what type of filters, sump, skimmer? my aol name is Infrared69, ill put you on my BL and see if i can catch you online.
