how to increase flow and add flow zones in 24 nanocube???

i'm experiencing some "dead spots" on my nano. i'd say there are two spots that are severely lacking flow. behind the return nozzle on the black back wall and directly under the nozzle along the glass.

i dont think this is a "weak pump" problem, i simply think i need to make a part that will stream water down, forward, and sideways.

or do you have another suggestion?

the water should still be moving around there. Are there dead spot on the sand bed or on the rocks?

i added a mj1200 for my return pump and i have a koralia 1 in the tank as well as 2 koralia nanos that i am going to replace. im going to take all 3 out and replace them with 2 koralia 3s because i plan on sps. right now the flow is perfect with no dead spots.

other than upgrading your return pump to a mj1200 to add a LITTLE extra flow, the only other way to increase flow is to add a powerhead...the nanos are about the size of a smaller closed fist, and they can easily be hidden between the rockwork.

You could drill the false wall and add a powerhead to chamber one or something and then plumb it out the wall.

yeah, i have seen that done and totally forgot about that as an option. some have added a hydor flo deflector on it as well to help with some random flow.
