Refugium?
I want to attach a refugium to my tank, but I do now know on how I should start it. Also, what kind of lighting would be suitable for it?

There's no one best way to do it. It all depends on your setup and the room you have to do it. The one obvious is to go as big as you can to experience the best results. Do a search here on RC for refugiums and you'll find a ton to read!

If you already have a sump you can convert part of it to a refugium. You can make one out of a used 15 or or 20 gallon tank. There are hang-on -back ones made by CPR that are pretty good. You can occasionally find used ones here in the equipment forum or even on ebay.
On one of my fuges I use this bulb and a cheap clip-on fixture, both from Home Depot. |
