Sand or barebottom on my ten gallon?

its realy up to you but personally i like sand it makes the tank look more natural

Right now I'm of the mind to never use sand in a small tank again. I haven't tried a BB tank yet so I may not like that either, but for now, I'd rather have more flow and less worries about sand.

IMO, sand looks a lot better.

Either can work. I would highly recommend reading through the How to go barebottom thread, if you haven't already.

BB is great, but if your "poop loop" isn't effective, it can be a nightmare.

Bare Bottom! Paint the bottom white and to everyone but die hard sand lovers it will look great!

i like sand but the painting it white idea sounds good

Casually looking at the tank you don't even notice there is no sand once the bottom is painted. It feels great at water change time to vacuum all the crap out and not have to watch that beautifull white sand turn black from the bottom up over a couple of years.
