Octopus NW 110 Lots of Micro bubbles

I noticed that my NW 110 is putting out a lot of micro bubbles. I am going to pull it out of my sump until I can tune it up a bit. I cannot determine if the bubbles are coming from the water following out of the pipe or from the pump or the skimmer itself. I also noticed that the bubbles within the skimmer remind me of alka seltzer. Iam not getting any skimmate yet.

If anyone has any suggestions, I would like to hear them.

Thanks,

Is this skimmer new? It usually takes a little bit of time (maybe up to a week) for a new skimmer to break in, the micro bubbles will often settle down a bit after the break in period is over.

Another tip would be to place your skimmer on the opposite side of your sump as the return pump. This may or may not be feasible based on how you sump is laid out and what you have in it.

Check the connection of the pump to the skimmer.
Make sure that the sump water is high enough.
Make sure you have the bubble trap sponges installed.

Beside that at the braking in period and in a new set aquarium ,micro bubbles are normal phenomena
