Turbo Snail Help!

I was having a problem in my 29 gal tank with alge. I have 2 pounds of liverock, 4 pounds of dead rock,halfway cultivated, dead coral of some kind, a bubbler, and no fish. The alge was growing on my live rock, bye the way the alge is red, I bought a turbo snail at petco. it`s been cleaning the live rock but not the alge, some parts of the liverock are white now. Dose anyone know why it is ignoring the alge, I need help. I have also gave it some food petco said it would eat, it`s still there. I`ll check agin tonight. I think it might be starving!

Google cyano bacteria. It might not be algae.

how much water flow do you have? how are your phosphates?

Ph is fine. Also no water current, still buying things for the tank.

water current will help. not good to have stagnet water. i had a similar problem when i had a 55g. one side hade strong current and the other side didnt. i had annoying hair algae and red algae on the week side. good luck.

Money isues mainly, and building a chiller. Once I get it made no more current problems. The chiller is another story alltogether. Forgot to menshion that fether worms are sudeny growing, found them minuts after the suprise of alge.
