Swapping pump on reactor...

I have a maxijet 1200 to pump water into my reactor but it is making alot of noise lately. I recently purchased an aqualifter, but I'm not sure what the best way is to reduce the hose to the size of the aqualifter. My reactor is an aquatic systems designs reactor so I'm not sure if I can unscrew the part that goes into the PVC or use reducers. Anyone have any ideas?

I would just replace the impeller on the maxi-jet 1200. The little plastic pieces on them wear out over time and they start to rattle. Replacement impellers are only like $8 on DFS.

I ended up removing the mpt and swapped it for another. I'd rather not have to replace that part again.
