Tigahboy's 15S [LPS-only]

The tank dims: 30"x10"x12"(h)
Clear-for-life brand acrylic
Mods: Made 2 holes for 1" external durso overflows & 2 holes for 1/2" returns.
Sexy Black PVC for plumbing
Temporary Light - JBJ 24" Power Compact w/ 50/50 bulbs
[will upgrade to 70w MH]
Return Pump is a QuietOne 1200 that I had lying around [will upgrade pump as well]

Photos of plumbing work can be found in this video: click me (or Right Click + Save as)

VERY thin sand bed w/ fiji pink aragonite.

And I'm definitely staying true to the theme of this tank (LPS ONLY!). =P

Looks awsome too!!!!!

Very nice LPS tank!

You have a very clean looking set up, I especially like your "blasto cove".

Thanks, guys! I've been collecting the LPS for awhile now, so they come from all over the place. I even put my very very first acan lord frag into this tank (it's not much of a looker, but it has sentimental value. haha).

I'll post some more pics later today after I transfer more of my LPS over.

Still debating whether to add more LR as well. Looks quasi-empty. But I kind of like the open look as well.

And I haven't thought about what type of fish or shrimp to add. Any suggestions?

tigahboy, when you upgrade to MH will you have an open top? That would definitely affect my choice of fish. I'm thinking with that amazing collection of corals, a helfrichi (Sp?) firefish would complement very nicely. I wouldn't do a firefish with an open top, though. Also, I can't tell you how much enjoyment I received from my sexy anemone shrimp. I only had one in my 55, but I had plans of a group and they are such cool little guys. Ever had one? VERY cool tank.

Probably going to do open top...but otherwise the helfrichi would be a nice addition. =)

I had a couple sexy shrimp in my nc6 before. You can see pics of them here: http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...=&pagenumber=1

I liked them, but one of them started to pick away at one of my acan polyps....it only happened once, but that still makes me a little sexy shrimp-adverse. hehe.

Thanks for the suggestions. keep em comin!

Thanks for that info, I am getting my first 3 acan frags tomorrow and I was thinking of getting that group of sexy shrimp I've always dreamed of once I move my cb seahorses...Guess I'll have to pass. What about pom pom or boxer crabs? Also, all my books are in storage right now, so I can't look up min. tank req on it, but how 'bout a sunset anthias? They actually prefer to be alone, one of the only ones like that, and they are BEAUTIFUL. Kevinpo owns the only LFS here in town, Aquatic Dreams, and his is eating out of his hands. I keep thinking it should be something you don't see everyday...

Correction: I meant the only LFS I shop at; there are a few others...
