Bubble Algae buffet in my tank- I need a hungry fish

My tank is being taken over by bubble algae. I have two emerald crabs and they haven't touched it. Is there a fish that will eat this stuff?

Hit or miss, as with any fish in any situation. I bought mine for the purpose of eating my valonia, and it didn't eat any. I finally resorted to cooking my rocks to fully get rid of it.

I had a handful and they completely disappeared after I got crabs (like blue leg hermits) and snails. I got 100 of each for a 100 gal tank. And a couple of Emerald crabs. All of a sudden bubbles and hair alage disappeared. I had to trim down the hair with a syringe to it was gone. I think the critters just didn't like the taste of the stalks, similar in a lot of cases with diff. animals in and out of water, and preferred the roots.

I cooked my rocks for 3 months and the only thing left was the valonia. It is extremely hardy. I have also heard good things about emerald crabs. I tried one once. I killed him 2 days later when I thought he was nipping at my sps. In fact, they sometimes hang out on sps at night but don't actually damage them. I wish I had known that before I grabbed him with some metal tongs........
