I was looking at my Chevron tang this afternoon and notice that on is right eye their was like an inflation compare to the left one. It's like if he was having something like clear layout right on all the surface.

Should I be worried.

Thanks

Fred,

Keep an eye on his inflated eye. It may be pop-eye, and may be solely due to stress from being moved into a new environment.

As for the nori. Keep trying daily. He will eventually take to it. Try putting a few drops of Garlicextreme or garlic extract as an attractant. It once took over a week for my naso tang to learn that the sheet of nori was food.

You could also try attaching it to a small piece of rock with a rubberband and placing it among the rockwork. This may look more natural to the fish.

you would have to take him out and medicate him in a hospital tank. There are medications made specifically for pop-eye.

In my opinion, doing that may put more undue stress on the tang. You mentioned that it seems a little better today. I say let it run it's course, and hopefully once he settles in and is less stressed it will go away.

The water parameters in your tank are pristine. That alone will go a long way...

I'd suggest not changing a thing.

I looked at Ron the Chevron and he seems to be doing better tonight as is eye is clearly recovering.

But will still keep an eye on him.

Very happy today as I finally saw Ron my chevron going after some nori on the clip.

He looks way much better now.

Will try to get a pic tomorrow.

I went to my LFS today and they had a black tang that was already reserve for someone.

Can somebody explain to me what is the reason of having a yellow tang but black for that price?

I know it must be a prestige to have one but to be honnest there is other rare fish that cost less then him.

I have to agree on this one as black doesn't come out really easy especially when the atinics are on.

I don't know maybe it would look good in a tank in the middle of good restaurant.
