SPS for sure!! As for fish, I have a clown tang, a pair of camelback clownfish and two wrasses for the time being. I'm also planning my new tank at the restaurant! It’s going to be 60X40X27 Cant wait to get this project going!

How do you like your new controller and what are you using it for?

I really like my controller it is really worth it.

Right now I'm using it for temp, PH, ORP

Everything is connect to my laptop with the Aquanotes systems.
I really like it cause I can get all graph for any of those above during the time I'm away from home. For exemple if the temp went down during the day it's easier to search for the problem.

Is it normal that my Ph doesn't go up more than 8.1 and 8.2 during the day and goes as low as 7.8 and 7.9 during the night.

What's the effect it as on the tank inhabitant?

It's actually normal from what I've seen... It's normal to see pH drop overnight.

You can help minimize the pH swing by using a kalk reactor to dose kalkwasser overnight only

I did a huge water change as you suggested and feel that the PH is more stable now. It now stays between 7.95 and 8.2 during the day.

I did a good water change earlier this week and use a new salt. Coralife. It's strange but I'm pretty sure I can already see a difference in there. The corals SPS have extended their polyps like never before and my numbers are better.

Is it possible?

I use to use IO for salt.

There is a difference in the compostion of the salts, but I would think that the water change, which sounds like that its fixing your ph problems, is more the benefit and change in your corals behaviour. Your parameters have obviously improved favourably.

Cheers

Chris

Everything seems to be back to normal. I did dose the alkalinity raiser from Seachem and I can already see a difference with my PH. It went from 8.00 to a constant 8.1 to 8.26.

I'll keep an eye on it still.

I know and I'm still thinking about it. My coralline is growing fast and I'm not sure if I want to wait and let natural.

But in the same time, it gives me a perfect access from the back in my fishroom.

i wanted viewing access to the back of mine but also didnt want to be able to look through the tank from the front. my solution was a thin ply wood, painted black and attached to the back. Works great!

Does anyone know how long does it take for a Atlantic blue tang to go from a juvenile to is adult colour?

Is it a matter of time or size and low long does it take?

No, I got the octopus 3000.
Sorry it took so long for an answer.

Do you have lights over your sump? Running lights over your sump on a reverse light schedule will help keep your PH stable at night.

Yes I do have light over my 33g fuge. I even have two they are the one you can get at home depot the spiral one and the growth is amazing.

I started dosing Alk last week and I can already see a little difference with my numbers.

They usually stay between 7.90 to 8.15 and now they are around 8.05 to 8.20

Will keep going on.

I was wondering what was the best supplement that people use to adjust their KH and PH?

Is anybody using Seachem reef builder?

Thanks
