shelburn61 is a scam artist

on 4/13/06 Chris Shelburn and i started a series of PM about trading some equipment. he wanted to trade me a seaswirl for my ph controller. i sent out the controller and he received it and found that there was some missing parts. he had not yet shipped the seaswirl. i gave him a couple weeks to try and track down the replacment parts and he had no luck. so he asked if i just wanted to sell it outright as a ph meter. i told him ok 50.00 as i paid 40.00 for the new probe. he didn't want to spend that much. i waited another week, no response from him. finally i told him i was going to post this in an open forum if he didn't send it back. he responded and told me to send him money for shipping and thats what i get for trying to pass off damaged goods. i sent him 8.00 thru paypal to cover shipping, that was on May 9. still nothing. i kinda think he screwed me twice and had no intention of ever returning it. so if your planning on buying or trading with him BUYER BEWARE!

I just became aware of this thread.

Who the heck are you MonkeyBone? I live in Columbia, South Carolina and I have never dealt with you! Did the "south" not tip you off? I have never even owned a wavemaker and Newport News is in VA! You need to figure out what the heck you are talking about before you start smearing innocent people!

... as for Vulkum
His junk was returned long ago, but he has failed to mention that!

He offerred to trade me a sms 125 "controller" for a seaswirl. The thing arrived within a couple days, before I had gotten to UPS. Since the item was incomplete, I didnt ship.

This "controller" had the two control modules removed from it, making it useless as a controller. Vulkum knew this and tried to pass it off in the trade without ever mentioning it. Even though he had already tried to swindle me, I looked into replacing the parts. After a few weeks and many phone calls, Milwaukee told me it was impossible.

Vulkum seemed reasonable at first. He told me to take my time working on a solution, and said he was in no rush to get it back. I was very busy at the time and since he tried to scam me, I was in no rush to get it sent. (Now I wish I had been to avoid all this garbage.)

He began sending threatening PMs all of a sudden without an apology or an offer to pay for me to return his mistake (or scam). He then filed a Paypal claim and has refused to retract it since he received his item. I have bought and sold many things on RC without a complaint. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS GUY!

If the fact that he smears people without knowing who they are and thinks Newport News is in NC, which is somewhere in "South Caccalac" isn't enough, this definitely should be.
