Come along, I'm starting a 24 gallon from scratch!
Hi everyone! Welcome to my thread. I just purchased a 24 gallon cube from JBJ. I have nothing but plain water in it right now, just testing for leaks, so far none!!!! I ordered the sand and the live rock yesterday, so I'm hoping to receive it today.
I started this thread so everyone can see my step by step progress of this tank. Not exactly sure what in inhabitants will be in this tank, but I'm hoping to have at least a couple horses. I also have a 75 gallon reef that has been going for a little over a year. Won't you come along and help me to make decisions on aquascaping, things to put in it and help me with some questions I may have, and certainly, if you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to help you as well. I also have a website that I will be posting pics of the new tank as we go along. If you have a tank that is around this size, please feel free to give suggestions or post pictures. Amanda

Elliottsa, I ordered my 25 pounds of cured Tonga from Dr. Mac corals. I have ordered from Dr. mac before and I was very pleased. That is why I returned to him to start my new tank!
Mantis, That would be so cool if you started a nano, however, I don't really consider this tank a nano, although small, I always considered tanks 10 gallons and smaller Nanos. Amanda

I can't wait to see you pics Amanda... I have wanted to start a horse tank for about 6 mos now. The nano cubes are very nice, what are the demensions of it. I want a taller tank, was considering a hex, maybe 30g or smaller. But maybe the nano would be cheaper in the long run considering the lighting and filtration is built in. I am going to be pricing stuff and giving the DH ideas for Christmas. If you don't want to disclose the price of your nano on the forum, you can PM me, so I get an idea of what I can do.
Thanks!!

Hey Lori, like I mentioned earlier, I don't consider my tank a nano. The dimensions are....

AEALOVESHERGIRLS -- thanks for the reminder about Dr. Mac's. I'm right across the bay from them and was about to place an order for a couple of clowns. I'll have to make a field trip over there one day and check his new digs out. Again -- thanks!

Who was the rock delivered by?
You could always put the rock in now and fill in the sand around it when it arrives. |

o yea amanda, i had a question for you. i noticed you have a few cleaners in your 75. i was wondering if you ever saw them bicker with each other. did you introduce them to your tank at the same time? i just got a new cleaner yesterday and i think my old cleaner killed the new one. either that or my water is bad, but everything else in the tank seems fine. i'm so sad, i want more than one cleaner b/c they're so nice looking.
