Test Kits

I BOUGHT A RED SEA MARINE LAB TEST KIT (5 in 1) PH, ALK, NH3 NH4, NO2 & NO3. SOMEONE TOLD ME RED SEA TEST AREN"T ACCURATE. DOES ANYONE RECOMMEND ANOTHER BRAND?

For now you are fine IMO. After the tank has been up a couple 4 or 6 months, you can get better kits. I see very little use in spending $30+ per test kit to get super accurate readings in a new tank. Mostly what you are looking for in most cases is just detectable levels.
A bit down the road, you can spend the big bucks on calcium, alkalinity test kits that you need accurate info on. You do that with the starter kits and you will have 150$ in a kit you have for $30 or 40 now.


(just my opinion) When you are ready for better kits, I like Salifert

Test kits are Test kits. They work the same. Some people just say others are better then others. I have a red sea calcium test kit and it works fine.
