Anyone have an octo tank without skimmer?

I'm researching octopi and I'm wondering if anyone is keeping Octopus Bimaculoides in a tank without a skimmer.

thats one bit of kit you really need for octopuses, most keepers will have one in some shape or form

yes , do a search on the eap skimmer

this is what i have done and it handles my tanks from 30 - 240 gallons ,
because i bought the sedra 9000 pump with venturi for $125 , but it ou t does some of the 400 bucks skimmers out there in the market

I am a fan of the AquaMedic Turboflotor range, the 1000 multi would do a tank that size

agreed, with joefish, I had a friend give me his crappy skimmer, that did an alright job. I duplicated it 3 times and now ot levels out to filter(what the box says) 55g x 4 so like 220 gallons and the ones i made work better than the store bought one. I will never buy another one.
