Exclamation Good Morning....Not

Woke up to the base of my BioCube 14 leaking and a moderate size puddle on the ground..

It's leaking around the base where the glass meets the black border. Looks like it's coming right out of the black sealant around the front and left side.

Going to move everything to storage tub, empty tank, dry and seal with silicone along the entire tank.

Questions: Have any Bio Cube owners experienced this? Cube is about 1.5 yrs old and I purchased second hand so I can't go back to Oceanic (i assume) Has anyone resealed the Bio Cube and had any other problems?

Going to be a fun day! Been wanting to change my aquascaping. LOL

Thanks all for responses and assistence..

Sorry to hear about the leak. Did it happen all of a sudden? Have you notice and salt creep from that area before? Puzzling it is. For the money and security so it won't happen again I would ditch that old one and try to find another one used or buy a new one. Good luck with the cleanup and I hope everything survived.

Actually over the course of this week, there was a significant increase in the salt creep and my plan was to do the work this weekend. I guess Friday is close enough to the weekend for the tank.

I'm looking around for a tank; however, not sure if there are any retail in the Longmont, CO area. I have some feelers out already and have been checking the websites for replacemtn tanks.

Was considering a different brand tank, but don't want to lose the clean look for the tank and stand i have now...

Thanks

well, so far so good (finger crossed tightly) got a nanocube 12g, however, wife saw it and said NO. So I resealed the caulk on the entire setup, inside and out. I have to say, it looks pretty good.

Leak tested twice and so far so good.

temp got down to 69.9 so keeping a close eye on livestock. everything has opened up and the fish are feeding so hopefully their "holiday in the storage tub" wasn't too bad.

I put the Korlian (sp) magnetic powerhead in it and It looks like everyone is enjoying the increased flow.

I got the Cheato on the return too.

thanks aall. Take care.
