Hi All,
Thanks for the compliments The top down shots were taken by covering the lens of my camera in cling film and poking it under the water surface. A tip I got from a member one of the BB's over here so thanks to Simon for that The latest full shots I have are maybe a month old, As you can see it still has alot of growing out to do, nearly every piece in there is grown out from frags...I think I have maybe only 3-4 actual large bought pieces. All the other pics I've added to RC are here......Gallery

Hi Guys,
That seri pic isn't a good one really, looks like something from the forbidden forest It's yellow/gold colour to the naked eye. OK so the 'clingfilm method' is really simple if you have a camera where the lens actually pokes out from the body. I have a Fuji S602z, I turn it on so as the lens extends from the body. Then all I basically do is get a small piece of clingfilm taught over the lens and fasten it in place with an elastic band. After that I'ts just a matter of giving it a dip just slightly under the surface. It's a bit nervy the first time I gotta tell ya! I'll as Simon to pop on over and maybe add his tips for using clingfilm as he's much better at the photography side of things.

I think the American equivalent of clingfilm would be plastic wrap.

Hi. As per Atkins request. (this is gonna take a while to load so my appologies......
Here's some that i took of my recovering corals (long story about contamination) using the clingfim method as Atkins mentioned just stretch the film over the lense (a good way up the barrel and secure with an elastic band) dip the lense under the water and away you go. Ive found that the best results come from near vertical angles. If your taking the shot at 45deg it becomes a little distorted as light gets deflected through the water.. Still got a bit of healing to do but they are comming on fast and colours/branches are returning to what were mear single stumps a month or two ago. regards Si.
