Mangroove plants?

Do they really help decreasing nitrate??

They can, but there may be more effective methods. I use macroalgae. These articles have more:

The slow rate of growth really limits the effectiveness. If you have a pound of cheato and a pound of mangroves, then wait 1 month the cheato will increase in weight much much faster. The increase in weight is basically how much "junk" was removed.

Th e fact is that i don´t really know weather or not thease are in fact mangrooves. i just know those are some sort of marine plants, can any one sen me a link with photos so i can identify them?
