SPS under t5's?

I have a 75gal tank and was wondering if I could keep some monti cap and digita under (6) 54 watt T5 bulbs with individual reflectors?

Your lighting is sufficient for that and much more. I've seen clams on the bottom of a 90 and beautiful colors from acros up high under the Tek light.

130w of T5s with individual reflectors? Sure. But it sounds like you are referring to 2-65w compact fluorescents. In which case, you could probably keep some plating species and digitate species, albeit not incredibly well (but they will live and grow some).

You have your T5s WAY too high. To get the output out of T5s you must use thier advantage of being closer to the water. Many folks even run thier halides closer than 10". IMHO your probably getting less than half of the light in your tank that you would at 4".

DROP THOSE THINGS! LOL

My 6 bulb Tek hood is sitting on top of my tank. And it hardly raises the temp at all!! I notice towards the end of the end the tank gets to 83 degrees, but that's not bad!

I have my t5s about 9 inches from the surface and I read 5,000 more lux on the surface than with my 2 250 halides. Im afraid if I lower my lights I will fry everything in my tank.
