400 Gal Reef Tank from Jakarta
Hello there,
My name Adrianto from Jakarta, Indonesia. I start saltwater hobby in year 2002, at this moment I just build my new 400 Gal Tank. All the plumbing has been installed, will need your input before I fill in with water. If needed I still can modified the plumbing. The Tank : Length = 250 cm (98.5 inch) Width = 80 cm (31.5 inch) Height = 75 cm (30 inch) Volume = 1500 liter (400 US Gal) All made from 19mm Glass Timber Cabinet Lighting: 2 units Aquasunlight NG (each 2XMH 250W 10kK + 2XT5 54WBlue) 4 units T5 54W Actinic Blue 03 Pumps : Main Return = Tunze Master Electronic 1073.14 (3,460 GpH) Closed Circulation = Tunze Master Electronic 1073.09 (2192 GpH) Wavemaker = 2 X Tunze Stream 6100 with controller Chiller : 1pK Titanium In-Line Skimmer : H&S A300-3XEheim1260 Since my tank will be loaded with many fishes, Denitrator need to be use. Others Equipments :
Korallin BioDenitrator Korallin Calcium Reactor Aquamedic NitrateReductor Aquamedic top-off system Aquamedic Kalkwasser Reactor Neptune Controller PinPoint ORP Monitor for Aquamedic NitrateReductor Resun Ozone Generator (will be replaced with Aquamedic 100mg/h soon) All equipments are located inside the cabinet except the big skimmer. It's a big challenge to connect all the pipes. The sump box is 140 cm x 60 cm x 50 cm, macroalgae refugium is located in the center. One overflow box in the left back corner (20 cm x 35 cm), with two pipes. One is 2" to the sump and the other one 1.5" directly to the skimmer. For closed loop circulation, I use Tunze 2200 gph and UV 57 Watts. Dedicated ELCB, MCB dan Timer Top-off water use RO water pump to kalkwasser reactor, controlled by aquamedic top-off system. Seawater reservoir, bi-weekly 10% water changes is planned. Adrianto

Looks pretty cool!!!
TUNZE! TUNZE! TUNZE! One question, have you tested the stand for the seawater reservoir? Looks pretty large on those angle brackets. And what is the black box in the lower right side of your stand with what appears to be a analog gauge. A chiller? I love seeing equipment used in other parts of the world... |

Very nice setup there! everything looks very neatly done hope you get water in it soon.
Keep an eye on the aquamedic top up system, I know of a few failures over here in the UK - hope its not tied in with your kalk addition. |

The Black Box is a chiller, the gauge is a gas pressure meter. It will tell for any freon gas leakage. So It will ensure that my chiller is working fine. I love Tunze ..... |

Very Impressive Setup. I can only wait to see what it looks like fully stocked and with all that equipment in use. I can only imagine how expensive it is to import all of that equipment to Indonesia.

Hi there Adrianto, Greetings from Portugal
Fabulous setup. One issue for you to consider as regards the closed loop with the spray bar: from what I´ve seen in some friends´tanks, coraline tends to cover the drills of the bar as time goes by and it loses eficiency. Did you consider that ? Last edited by Joao Monteiro; 06/06/2006 at 11:47 AM. |
