So did you get the wavebox hooked up yet? Where are the pics? I mean it's been over 2 months since a post and all you've had is a kid, come on

Boy he wasn't kidding!

Yah, so I'm probably the only guy that has had a Tunze Wave box sitting around on my shelf for 4 months. Nope, I haven't hooked it up yet, because of the shortage of magnets. I am waiting to get that and a new 6100.

I did make overflow covers! That was progress. At least I had some time to do something. Damn my nipples are killin me from all of this breast feeding LOL.

I also bought some Ozone and haven't messed with that. I am still going to hook it up despite all of the inuendo's. Unfornately, i purchased the Red sea unit with the built in controller and they sent me the wrong one

I am also comtemplating about hooking up a bigger skimmer. (You have made me jealous Keith; yours is bigger!) And I am about 70% certain that I am going to change my Calcium reactor. I have never been really happy with it and my Calcium stays around 360 with my Alk at 3.5

So, I will be doing some things soon. My tank will be featured on the next DFW tank tour this spring and I want it to look as impressive as possible, so......maybe I'll get off of my can and make some progress

Thanks for following along.

Oh yah, I am even contemplating on getting two HQI 20 K halides to suppliment my current lights. I wan't to see how the air unit handles the blazing heat here. Remember, I really didn't have everything up and running until last September. This system is still a baby as well!

Thanks!!

Well here are some more "new editions"!

I finally got my controller! I need to get the energy to put it togeter!

I also finally got a TDS meter. That will be MUCH easier to hook up.

Unfortunately, That Fish Place sent me the wrong Ozone Unit! I ordered the aquazone Deluxe and they sent me the standard 200mg/hr. The box was checked Delux, but I think that some bastage switched the units .

Anyway, I can float the ORP probe Right?

I finally got my Reef Lightsaber! My swing arm is pretty damn accurate! I am a first to say that! I've been using the same one since 1998! I figured that it would become a little "off".

I also built overflow boxes. I had (past tense) a little algae problem in the overflows. Not anymore!!

So who out there has the ACIII? Any suggestions, comments or recommendations? LMK I'm ALL EARS!!!

Okay, confused???? Why would you need the deluxe if you have the AquaController III?

I have the II and love it.

I don't; There was a sale on the deluxe and the price was only $30 more. I decided that the price of a meal was worth it!

OK Marc

LOL: I guess that's right, but if I ever decide against Ozone b/c of the possible health effects, I can sell it for more used and then buy the meal?

LOL,

I am using ozone myself. Wow, what a difference it makes. Good luck with that.

Looks good Ryan.

I was going to ask Marc to cut out some black acrylic for my overflows but I've got some extra coroplast laying around so I'll steal yet another idea from you.

The tanks mine; The corals are some loser kid's

Steve, make a cardboard cutout template first. All you need is a exacto knife, a tape measure and a pencil. The project shouldn't take you more than 30 minutes!

So who out there has an ACIII? How do you guys have it hooked to your computer? Most people use the X-box router as I understand. (another $100 ) Come on now controller people, I'm listening

Menard, its a PRIME piece of the ocean, thanks to you ! I'm comming up for IMAC. I'll see you that weekend and will bring some friends from here!

Steve, The output gives me an idea of the TDS prior to using RO. No purpose other than to see what the baseline is. If the unit wasn't a two part, I obviously wouldn't measure.

I set it up for a base line and probably wont check it more than once a year. It would be interesting to see if there were seasonal variation. Growing up in Detroit, I always took H2O for granted. Here in Dallas, they have 1,000,000,000 man made lakes that are fed by run off and sewage. As I understand it, that is our drinking water. Kind of makes me miss the Detroit river! (If you are from Windsor or Detroit you'll understand the irony). With that stated my prefiltered TDS is only 167. There is a dude that lives on the east suburbs of Dallas and has a TDS of 600!!!!!! I wonder if his RO unit can filter out the corn? Nasty.
