shark and ray

do you guys see any problems with a blue spotted ray and a epaulette shark getting along??

I have read that it is not reccommended because the shark could possibly get stung by the ray.

You'll have a extremely difficult time keeping a blue spot alive for any extended period of time. From my experience they are extemely sensitive to any change in water quality form that of the ocean and rarely adapt to the home aquarium. Try the yellow sting ray from the carribean they are more adaptable to aqaurium life. YOU MUST USE R/O---NOexceptions with rays & sharks.

well i always used ro/di from the unit i have, but i thought there was two commonly mistaken rays with blue dots.... the blue spot one, which is hardy, and the blue spotted ribbontail which is a difficult fish to keep.

Yep, there are two, the blue spot is less difficult than the ribbontail.
