I've been a hot circuit all day!

On the flip side...a Nor'easter kind of came through here today...windy, rainy...quite miserable actually! We went to the beach today to get some pics of the ocean...to my dismay I got quite a sandblast trying to take pics! But alas, here they are!

Tanya,
Do you mind telling what beach that is? You can PM me if you want. My parents are in Scituate. My mom called tonight to give me a trick to keep kid paint from staining my clothes and she didn't mention anything about the rain/wind. Scituate usually gets it bad.

Down in Virginia today it made it to a whopping 43 degrees. Pretty amazing for October. Last year around this time we were having tailgate happy hours outside and it was in the 70's.

Ooooh. You needed a long, hot bath after that. (Maybe shower first).

Current temp is supposedly still 41, but the wind chill makes it feel like 35. Wet and raw. I might as well be hanging on the South Shore.

Tanya I think you might need some buffing compound for your car.

Tanya, great colors in your kitchen! I'll be doing my kitchen over this winter: colors from a Tomato Paste can, bright yellow, red and green.

Colors to cheer up the dreary winter weather! Yeah, I saw on Weather.com that Wilma is out to sea from you and causing a nor-easter. I remember those from my old days in Boston .......

Follow my back surgery story, or Peggy's (skippy2), and you'll see why I'm less than sympathetic.
I don't want to sound harsh or coldhearted, but how is it the doctors fault you have a bad back? It's just a terrible misfotune, but people recieve injuries or are born with them everyday.

Now, I don't know your back story. Therefore, it could well be the doctors fault.

But.... why bash the people that are trying to help you? The doctoars aren't trying to make your back worse.

You have to admit it is ridiculous how much doctors are sued. They are human and prone to make mistakes. When you go to them for help you should realize there is a risk because they are human. They shouldn't be making blatant (sp?) mistakes and most definetly not making mistakes often, but they are going to. They're human. Your human. I'm human. We're all humans.

We have to think along the lines of empathy.

EDIT: And, yes, I realize I should have more empathy towards you situation. See, I already made a mistake by being hypocritical, but I'm human.....

You like that orange?? I wish I had done more than just that little diagonal wall...but at the time, it seemed appropriate!

I swear if I didn't know Wilma was out to sea, I'd swear it was HERE!!!

Wow, Tania, the rest of your pics finally loaded on my *#@ slow connection, and I saw the one of the sandblasted car. Yeah, I know that beach too!!

Revere Beach. The year I moved to Lynn, MA, was the year of the Blizzard of '78. Revere Beach had an amusement park until that winter. The whole thing washed away in that blizzard!

All right, kyman33....if you have the time, here's a thread that documents my pleasurable experience:

http://archive.reefcentral.com/forum...at+my+wits+end

I don't really care if you read it or not, because I'm frankly not interested in your opinion.

First off, you obviously care somwhat if you posted the link of it. Second, I did read it and I feel extremly sorry for you. I have back problems, but NOT even close to the extent you describe. Third, I do care (and I'm not coldhearted like my previous post may have led you to believe) and that is why I read your thread.

I agree with your point there is something wrong in the healthcare system. I completely agree with that, but I just don't like blaming invidividual doctors. They're only a very small part of the system.

That does seem extremely wrong you had to go through all that trouble to get your back fixed.

How is your back now? Hope its better.

Kyman, we all get along here...through good and bad we all lean on each other in here AS FRIENDS! We don't all agree on everything, but that keeps us strong and diverse. Whether or not you and Les agree or agree to disagree on his past situation, please have a little compassion for he went through a hellish ordeal. Same as a couple others have and are going through now. Your opinions have been strong the few times you have posted in here until the last. I hope that you can be a little more empathetic or sympathetic when someone bucks up to you because you think they are wrong. ok?

Hmmm....gotta love insomnia.

We find out tomorrow evening if we're going to have to put down my chocolate lab. Her legs and hips keep giving out on her, and she's been on various medications, but they aren't helping and she's getting worse. If the vet doesn't give us much hope, then we're going to end her misery tomorrow night. Parents say that the final decision is mine, but I know I'll have to do what I have to do.

Anyways, here's a pic of my baby:
