Just bought my first zoo frag...
Where should I place it in my tank?
High / low light? High / low flow? Thanks, Jen |

Anywhere, they can tolerate just about anything. I've got mine towards the middle under halides, and I've had em towards the bottom under just PCs

I would put it in the sand... If you have it on another rock, then the zoos will completely cover that rock.

I picked one with several polops of varying color. Some green orange color and reds.
I would like them to spread, the frag is really tiny and I want to see them. |

High flow, high light seems to be what they prefer - anywhere in the tank that can give them this would be good - but they are pretty hardy and can take a little abuse . I love zoos - I have 3 color morphs now - I just started seriously collecting them a few weeks ago. I keep all of them around the middle of the tank but in the open so water can flow freely over them.

I just got my first zoo's a week ago. I placed them high directly under 250 watt mh's. I noticed last night that they've already dropped a couple of polyps down to other rocks. Although I want zoo's on my rocks, I don't want these particular zoo's to spread so rapidly (common brown with green centers), so I plan to move them down lower. Based upon what I've read from others on RC, they spread more quickly the more light you give them.

The brighter they are, the more light they need to flourish. They will all do well under low light, just the brighter ones do best under higher light.
