yet another xenia question....

I got a few frags of xenia tonight and while putting them in my tank, they produced some slime as i put them into position....will they be ok? do i have to worry about this slime material?

whenever you handle xenia they will start to slime up, they'll be ok.

just do NOT smell the stuff lol. It is the worst smell in the world, second to none

But no, its fine. Like eddie c aid, it will do this any time you pick it up and move it or whatever.

Yeah they're nasty. Touch 'em and they turn to snot. I always trick my GF into smelling my fingers after fragging softies or shrooms

thanks for the replies. They bounced back fine. I have heard of them sliming (corals in general) but had yet to have it happen....and yes i found out it does smell funky on your fingers after touching them....ah the fun of reefkeeping!
