medusa/jellyfish
I found this today in a macro algae order. I guess is a type of hydroid. any one ever see one like this before. It is way cool to watch. like having your very own mini jelly fish tank. I put some baby brine in with it to see what happens next.

I have it isolated in a 80ml beaker with baby brine. I am curious to see if it reproduces. The little white speck to the right is a newly hatched brine to give you a idea of the size. If I can get them to reproduce maybe I can sell little jellyfish tanks in the back of comic books

The little guy kicked the bucket. Was cool while I had it, and yes it pulsed and acted like a little jelly but would rest on the wlls alot. Maybe it feed on phyo instead or rotifers. Never saw it eat a baby brine.

About that Medusa jellyfish. If it is the one I think it is I'm glad it croaked it because it can deliver a very poetent sting resulting in hart attack breathing difficulty and DEATH. It originates from northern Australia.

I kind of doubt that it was a box jelly. But you did make me smile. Cheers!
