Good Reef Magazines
I have subscribed to aquarium fish magazine and get bored with it sometimes. not enough salt water stuff in there for me, although most of the mag is on Saltwater. I know Tomoko brought with her once a magazine i think was call REEF something, not really sure. Anyway, anyone know of good readings I can subscribe to?
Thanks, Curtis

I subscribe to Coral Magazine. It's a really nice magazine, but it's not a real how-to type magazine like Reefkeeping Online magazine. Calfo's Journal is interesting, but I only have one issue. I like Marine Aquarist very much, but it's in Japanese.

There's an annual (once per year) magazine called Marine Fish and Reef. It's usually just filled with excellent stuff. Here's a link

Yea the Coral Magazine, that was what I was trying to think of. Im going to subscribe to that one.
I enjoy getting mags in the mail and taking them outside to read. Also, they make great coffee table pieces for people to look at when they come over who have no idea about aquariums

Coral is excellent, but mostly just for the photos.
Calfo's journal is a little off the wall and different, but well done. Not the mag if you want info that is 100% coral and fish specific; but good for getting a flavor of the tropical conditions of the animals and the hobbyists around the world. Also lots of good photos. If you are coming to the July meeting, Curtis, I will bring the last 3 (erm, ALL 3!) issues for you to look at. I agree that many of the Reefkeeping articles are as good as anything in print; sometimes more so.

Another one I like very much is Advanced Aquarist Magazine:
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/ It's a monthly online magazine like Reefkeeping magazine. A lot of great articles. Tomoko |
