Try soaking some food in garlic. Are you placing any nori in the tank? Are any fish bugging it? If its in a 55g It will outgrow that size tank rather quickly.

Good to get him in the 125 gal
If he is new he should adjust
They like to hang out in live rock when they are healthy

Give him some time and he will come around. When I had a blue hippo it liked to go inside this one piece of live rock which had a whole big enough for her to see out and for me to see her. Too funny! I think what he is doing is considered normal behavior for a blue hippo. He needs to get used to new tank, new water, new everything.

Took a couple weeks for my hippo tang to get used to the environment.

yeah they have a habit of trying to get pinched in between rocks.. I guess they feel more secure this way. Just give him some time to adjust.

My Hippo likes to sleep in between the branches of a Digitata colony... he sleeps there every single night. Same exact spot

Yep, mine hides all of the time. He will even lose color once he has been hiding for a while. It scared me a few times, thinking he is dead, but then you feed the tank and he comes out.

As everyone else stated, they can be skittish at first. They do like to lodge in rocks, especially at night, nothing to be alarmed at there. Took mine a bit to be part of the "crew" too, not sure how long you've had him. Be patient, watch him for signs of ich, (they tend to stress and contract it easier than other tangs)
