Xenia in a standard NanoCube24?

Just like the title.

Has anyone been able to keep Xenia in a standard (2x36w) 24g NanoCube?

Thanks,

Todd

Thanks John.

I agree, I've had them in the past in systems.

Looking at the Blue ones now though.

It grew great in mine, but didn't pulse until I moved it to a tank with more light.

Yep - xenia are great, especially if you can keep them growing ONLY on the glass. They are very easy to control that way and fragging them is super easy if you've got other local reefers or LFS who you can trade with.

Pretty sure the blue xenia doesn't share the crazy growth rates that the pink stuff does.

xenia

you might be sorry i have a kenya tree i know its not a xenia but almost the same. i traded my manderin for one and the guy said"carefull it drops branches like crazy." i said cool. now its just a big pain it drops every other week so i have at least 15 frags of it it might be cool to put in the substrate kinda like grass but might be hard to controle.

You're confusing the pink pom-pom xenia with the african blue species of xenia. From others' past experiences with the blue variety, they grow at a fairly slow pace.
