Mixing Clowns?

Hey. I was wondering, would I be able to house a True Percula and a Onyx in the same tank, would there be any chance of them pairing up, or would it work better with an ocellaris and an onyx. Thanks!!

I am wondering the same. Hopefully the fish know they are the same species?

I have an all-black GBR ocellaris I would like to pair with a common nemo...

there are quite a few people on here that have paired occ. w/ percs. By onyx do you mean like rod's reef onyx? If so those are true percs. If by onyx you mean a black and white occellaris, it should still work. It sounds like percs and occ, while they probably know the difference between each other, don't mind and will pair up. You can see in my avatar that a reg occellaris will have no probs with a b/w one.

Ok. Thanks. I meant by Rod Onyx, I just never realized that they were true percs, I always thought they were ocellaris. But I'm debating if I want to get one true and one onyx, which it would be from separate shippers, which would double shipping, so in the end, it might be cheaper to just get a pair of rods.

True Perc ($11.99) + 34.99 shipping

Onyx Perc (~35) + ~$50 shipping.

Ehh idk.

If you get one of his true onyx percs they'll be $50+50 shipping, he has some that are the same size as the ones that have quite a bit of black on them but don't have the black, they look like normal percs and is selling those for 25-35, thats what I got, cuz i'm cheap . So in essence, you could get what you're looking for for a little cheaper... you're calcs add up to (w/ corrected onyx price) 50+12+35+50=147, buying both from rod would be 50+35+50=135.. not much difference..

But I think I might just go with two true percs for now. Save up for a bigger tank, then get a pair of onyx and a nice nem for them to host in.
