Could a big puffer bite a hole in pond liner

My puffer has out grown his 150gal tank. He is about 16in so I was thinking of building a wood box about 6X4X3 or 6X4X4 don;t now how many gallons that would be or if I have the space 8X4X3or4 and putting pond liner in it but will a puffer bite a hole in it. anyone try this

I have never tried it, but im sure if he saw a piece of food against the side or the bottom of the liner he could easily tear threw it on accident(and by tear i mean enough to cause a leak)......espiecially if he is a larger puffer

You could try putting 2 liners in it. I seriously doubt he could bite through that.

You could get one of those blck plastic molded ones from Lowe's that are a few hundred gallons.....lol

Or look around here for some info on doing a framed, epoxy tank. Numerous people are doing wooden tanks, with a single glass window and sealing it with epoxy/fiberglass resin.

all the old pacu....not meant for tank life....they should stay in the amozonian where they belong.......

If you can find it, I'd recomend using a piece of inground pool liner. They're alot thicker and able to stand up to alot more werer and tear than a pond liner. Worth a try, good luck.

Do a wooden tank 8x4x4 and seal it with epoxy....
