Busted Clam Shell

So over the weekend i picked up a beautiful Crocea and a very, very nice squamosa and i noticed that my squamosa's clam shell was not connected. It was basicall just two half shells connected by the clam. I can feel the two halves move when i pick up the clam or reposition it. The clam seems fine but i was just curious.

Don't bother asking to see pics because i have none, sorry.

Nick

can you post a photo?

it happens sometimes and the clams seem to do fine. some times the hinge grows back sometimes it doesn't. i would just place the clam so the shell is aligned and try not to move it.
