arrowhead possum wrasse-does it need a sand bed

Will this wrasse bury in the sand at night like most other wrasses? I want to put it in a tank with no sand but with plenty of live rock and rubble, but dont want to stress it out. Is that going to work?

They do not need a sand bed. I have had mine for about a year, I have about 2 to 3 inches of crushed coral at the bottom of my tank and he does fine.

I do not believe he actually buries himself at night, I think he just wedges within some of the rocks. My Leopard Wrasse buries himself at night with no problem though.
