clams and aptaisa

will clams get stung by apataisa anemones? i have a TON of aptaisa and i am thinking about getting some clams.

Packs a pretty potent sting....I would work on giting rid of some, and yes im sure it would harm clams, but since I havent any near my clams I cant give you a definite yes from personal experience just giving you an edcatuated guess...

I agree...aiptasia will bother clams

I would work on getting rid of your aiptasia before getting inverst. Do you have a plan?

pepermint shrimp help, copperband butterflys help but are a moderate risk with clams, the only other options is taking out the live rock and treating it with a kalk paste...a lot depends on how infested your tank is...

I just use a seringe and kalk paste to inject them. Then I don't have to take my rocks out.

generaly yes pepermints are reef safe...although there are always exceptions to a rouge orginism in the tanks...IME my pepermints have been perfect, actually I hardly see them since they tend to hide in the rockwork...

My maxima practically uses his neighbor, a green carpet, (haddoni) as a blanket.
