Screen tops,covers for tanks

Hi,

I have a drilled 150g with six bird wrasse. The tank is under a 250w mh. I love having open water (no glass cover), but the wrasse are jumpers. The actually/frequently break water. Does anyone know about tank screen covers? Screen products out there, or DIYs?

I figure that a screen is a compromise between having a secure glass cover, yet having open water and cleaner light. I have found some screen covers made for keeping reptiles, but each one was for smaller tanks. The 150g is 72.5" X 18.5.

Thanks . . . Dave

You could try plastic light diffuser (egg crate). It should be available in 2'x4' panels at any home improvement store (for use on flourescent light fixtures in suspended ceilings).

This stuff shouldn't cut down on your light too much relative to some other potential solutions. It's also very easy to work with.
