plumbing advice NEEDED

I have a currently a 33 gal long tank with a 20 gal long sump.

My HOB overflow box has a 1 1/4" drain ...which I reduced to 3/4" PVC pipe into my sumps intake chamber.

My Mag7 pump is also returning water to the tank via 3/4" PVC pipe

Question is:
1- Should I use 1" pipe instead of 3/4" PVC?
2- Should I use flex tubing instead of rigid PVC?
3- Can I use a "T" in the return side to create 2 different returns inside the tank for movement?
4- Will the t restrict the pump?

TIA

1- I think 3/4" will be fine for mag-7.
2- I use flex tubing as intake but rigid PVC the return side.
3- Yes. that's what i've done with my 20g sump.
4- nope, but reduce the flow rate.

In which part of Nassau are you located?

3/4" is fine, flexible plumbing helps to reduce head pressure and vibration noises, but rigid will work just fine, using a T won't hurt anything.
I know Long Island pretty well, what's Rt. 20??

Learn something new every day, I didn't know there was another Nassau in NY state.
1" will flow more water if you use it for the drain, but you're returning with a Mag 7, I don't think the 3/4" will have a problem keeping up with the pump. Going with 1" won't hurt anything, but I don't see any real benefit for you in doing so.

Flex is better in that there are no sharp turns. Sharp turns (90*) add a lot of head pressure, and slow the flow. You will get more flow from your pump using flex, but I don't think the difference would be worth redoing your plumbing for.
