Breeding Blue/Green Chromis
Has anyone successfully bred chromis in the aquarium? I have two that are displaying an interesting interaction..... they are kissing. I do not know if this is normal behavior. If so, does this signify the beginning of a breeding pair? Please help.
If anyone would like to see a picture of this behavior let me know! |

A search in this forum is in order.
Yes Chromis and Damsels bred frequently in the aquarium, they are adhere their eggs to rockwork or glass. The fry hatch in a few days and as of now its pretty near impossible to feed the fry. WE just haven't solved what the first food is. But it doesn't mean don't try, and please do a search. Janek has some success a while back getting the fry to hatch, but like most others, he couldn't feed the fry (think copepod nauplii)

The behavoir that you are seeing sounds more like agression between the two, not spawning behavior.
