Plumbing advice NEEDED!

I have a currently a 33 gal long tank with a 20 gal long sump.

My HOB overflow box has a 1 1/4" drain ...which I reduced to 3/4" PVC pipe into my sumps intake chamber.

My Mag7 pump is also returning water to the tank via 3/4" PVC pipe

Question is:
1- Should I use 1" pipe instead of 3/4" PVC?
2- Should I use flex tubing instead of rigid PVC?
3- Can I use a "T" in the return side to create 2 different returns inside the tank for movement?
4- Will the t restrict the pump?

TIA

Whats the pipe length from the Mag7 to the return bulkhead?

Is this your current setup? Generally, you want your drain to only increase in diameter (or stay the same) as you go down, espeically with a HOB overflow. You can't get the same drain flow as you can for an equivilent built in drain. I would try to keep a 1 1/4" all the way down if you can, to avoid any possible backup. I would recomend splitting the return from the pump. You could try using a SQWD to create some wave motion, which would be very benificial.

I see no reason to re-do your plumbing. If you do install a SCWD I'd go to a bigger pump because of the drop in pressure.
