they have a magnet and two suction cups---rather then just two suction cups--they don't move. The are silent--no vibration--almost a 360 redirect. http://www.aquaticodyssey.com/pumps/koralia.htm

I have two MJ's and two Koralias and the koralias are silent while I do get some vibration from the MJ's. The magnets on the Koralias are great, very powerfull.

No vibration and magnet is plenty strong on my 1/2" acrylic.

I have a single 4 and a MJ 600 with mod. They are comparible in flow. I think the mj is a little stronger though. I like the magnet the koralia uses, but it is a bit loud when it starts.
