Yeah he definitly wasnt being cooperative. I saw this dude at a UFC fight that must have been about 300lbs solid muscle get tazed. He was slinging cops around like rag dolls when they tried to cuff him. In the end he was sitting in cuffs crying for his "mommy", no jokes.

This kid was def throwing a fit, no doubt about that. But it doesn't look like was he in control of the situation or even giving them that much of a fight. It looked to me like they had him pretty well pinned already. The conversation even got calm..... then it gets all riled up again at first mention of a tazer.

I agree, they should NOT have tazered him......Pepper spray would have been far better.

Pepper spray would have been a bad idea in an area like that. That stuff goes EVERYWHERE. You'd hit at least 10 people with it. You also can't use it close range or else it can act like a "ballistic needle". Target range for pepper spray is 6-10 ft.

They had him on the ground, pinned for several seconds, why not just cuff him. There was plenty of force available to just put him in hand cuffs. He looks like a can lifter and not a wieght lifter. The big officer picked him up and took him to the back of the room. I figured the tazer was left for when there is an actual threat.

Thank you dc for letting us try, we can be good =] I hope.
LOL, it isn't as easy as people think it is. My sister at 110 wiggled so much they almost couldn't cuff her. They probably should have tazed her. She remained uncooperative all the way through booking, then told me how stupid they were cause they couldn't even take fingerprints.

I know that the OPD uses excessive force all too often. A friend of mine was just tackled and cuffed for video taping an arrest, something he had every right to do. The chief even said he every right to do it and that has not trickled down the force yet... then we here from a friend of ours who is in the ODP that they were told to "make him wish he didn't live here..."

Many great cops out there who dont mind being in the spotlight because they do their job correctly who get bad press because of the ones who abuse their power... sad really...

When I got tackled in atlanta for being in the wrong place at the wrong time it was quite simple for them to get me in cuffs. One guy had his knee on my head into concrete and the other two kicked and stomped me ffor about 10 seconds before they had me "pinned" and in cuffs...... too bad I didn't get it on tape....

Your sister might have been right about the particulare ones that got her

No, my brother had the real story. She actually got a cigarette out of her pocket and lit it in the cop car, while hancuffed. I'm sure the joint that fell out of her pocket wasn't hers.
