Ah thought he was using one.....well my question is I have a 210G....which I am restarting due to some incidents during my last vacation. I was wondering is 700G flow from the tank to the sump enough?

I'm going to be running an ATI Bubblemaster 250 on the tank also.....finally a decent skimmer

I did the same thing before I ever put water in the tank. I'm reading all your posts to see what the "big dogs" do with these monster tanks!!! One day I will have one too!

I own the BM250 and believe the skimmer to perform well.

Based on the performance numbers, efficiency, and price I think you will be hard pressed to find another skimmer within a 1K of this skimmer.

If you look at this skimmer and do a side by side comparison to a Bubble King, this skimmer looks like, feels like, and skims like a Bubble King. Perhaps a little less expensive materials are used but this skimmer is a replica IMO.

The Thread Pad is very sensitive to any oils in your system, meaning if you soak fish food with Zoe or Second, then be prepared for your skimmer to be out of service for at least an hour. Which I don't mind since it gives the food time to circulate through my system and not skimmed.

BTW.....I am still wanting to see pics of Iwan's tank from someone other than Iwan......has anyone seen this tank in person????

So, Iwan's Tank is nothing more than a photoshop project?

stirring the pot a little, maybe that will bring Iwan out. I have a feeling it won't.

I don't want to make any false claims but I guess I can make an educated guess or hypothesis.....

I believe it was marketing propaganda for a particular product he was promoting and did so via Photoshop.

rpeeples, here is Iwan's webstie, does it seem like he is trying to promote a particular product? He seems like a normal reefer head to me.

Maybe he got sick of the same questions being asked over and over again.

How would you interpret this website (google translated via Iwans webiste:

http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools

So are you saying his reef has not been photoshopped and that his tank was actually sitting on a ladder?

If these are stupid questions I must me Forest Gump

Please tell me if I am way out of line?

yes, a bit out-of-line Gump...that's not a ladder but a common method for moving heavy objects. It's usually cheaper than a crane and sometimes a better solution for the circumstance.

Once you have seen a video or two of his, you'll realize that iwan is not photo-shopping anything.

Naughty, naughy Hahn...always pushing the envelope eh? YOu know some of us remember your "other" nicknames!

janarowe,

thanks for keeping me inline.....I really have never seen this method of lifting before. I guess I was also confused when Iwan stated he had his tank "flown in" which didn't add up to the picture with the tank on a "rail" system

Well, I give up. I thought that all this crap-talking would bring Iwan out of hiding, but I guess not. He must be on an expedition in Antarctica.

I actually enjoy reading his commentary...

Perhaps we should just keep this thread going until Iwan comes home from Space or was it Al Queda? I get so confused sometimes.
