Question how do you make floating pellets sink?

This problem might have been encountered by some freshwater folks. I have some very good pellet food. It's not the Spectrum stuff I was looking for, but for now it'll have to do. Problem is- it floats. I think they puffed air into each pellet during the manufacturing process. I can't get it to sink at all. Even after 20 minutes the stuff won't get water logged. It's crazy.
Maybe somebody knows how to pre-treat floating pellets so they sink. I was thinking along the lines of microwaving them with some water to see what happens....
any suggestions?

ps: I tried the pinch and submerge technique. It ain't happenin'.

i use the ORA GLO made by Harbor Branch... hmmm which also happened to make Vibragro, i believe..i think they just marketed it with a new name(ORA picked it up after being discontinued).. i noticed a huge color swing in my clowns after using this food for a few weeks. the orange was a lot more intense. sinks well, not too fast, and fish go crazy for it.

I've tried and failed several times to make "floaters" into "sinkers".

FWIW, I order my food from Premium Aquatics as he generally gets it to your door in 48 hours....

The Ocean Nutrition Formula One marine pellet is a slightly larger, sinking pellet option. My bigger fish live on this stuff.

Hey Gary,
Has anyone tried the NLS (New Life Spectrum) products....in my opinion they are one of the best pellet food around. Will stay afloat for a few seconds and then slowly drop to the bottom...in time for the fish to grab 'em!!
Guaranteed will not stay adrift....

HTH.

Gary, have you tried putting the pellets under any negative pressure?

Well, ou could do it a lot of ways by fitting a vaccum hose to some kind of container with the food in a pouch to keep it from getting sucked into the vacuum (women's nylon). Then again, might be too much effort for minimal result... I was just thinking out loud

although wait a minute, my logic is rediculous cause if you did manage to put them under negative pressure and there were sealed air pockets inside the pellets, they would explode... Not exactly what you're trying to accomplish. Forgive me, I got ahead of myself

Wow. I hear enough when I use the kitchen fridge for storing frozen aquarium foods. I can just imagine if I started using the vacuum cleaner to apply negative pressure to fish pellets.
I'm going to forgive you and come up with another plan that won't stress my marriage any further.

I bet those Oraglow pellets are the exact same thing as Vibragro...
