Nice and on vinyl as well! That movie scared the crud out of me on one of my first "au natural" experiences. Vintage Vinyl?

Are you kicking yourself now? I have one of the first editions of the White Album on vinyl, it is in a safety deposit box-guess what is on the cover??. I also have an un opened Badfinger record released by Apple records. I am now going to break out some Iron Butterfly, inagaddadavida. I will then follow up with some Zebra, No Tellin Lies album, after that I plan on putting on some Moxy-and to finish my night I am going Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah with some mellow LSDrive. They were a bunch of MO boys after all.

Got any BTO? How bout some Horselips? J.D. Blackfoot, King Crimson how about Pavlov's Dog? We had David Surcamp play at a party once... I think.. Not sure I can remember. We need to spin some vinyl and sip some sudz.

Theres a trick you can do, you can extend out a paper clip and slide into the cigarette, when you smoke it, you see the extended ash but not the paper clip. I used to bet a dollar at bars to see who can keep the ash the longest. I didn't make a ton of money but it did pay for a drink. When you put it out, just push the paper clip into your hand. Learned that trick in post grad bible college.

Floyd was better before Sid Barrett left. Roger Waters wanted to sing about his own psychological issues. lol

lol...he wasn't a genius he is mentally disturbed. Don't get me wrong, I have been a Floyd fan since I was in diapers and Roger helped create some awesome music but he ended up destroying the group with his "issues".

well I will start by making the comment that the difference between genius and mentally disturbed is a very fine line, thus being the reason so many people with a vision also self destructed. And when it comes down to it glimour played just as large of a part in the destruction of pink floyd as did waters. But i would not deny that waters had issues, i just have to believe that is part of what made him great!

by the way I had no idea so many people here were floyd fans, come this spring when I can house more people outside We'll have to have a floyd night at the house! we take the projector out back make it a three hundred inch screen and put the sound system out there, and I have a intuitive laser program that moves to the music through the computer making images and stuff from the music. it's similar to the set up that used to be at the planetarium (though not quite as advanced)

I agree mostly. Waters had his moments but tried to take the group to places they didn't want to go. 38 years of listening to them (No I am not as old as Capo is...no one is that old) and still I enjoy the music. Somewhere in storage I have a direct to disc master recording of Dark Side of the Moon. Cut at normal speed of 33.3 rpms the clarity was fantastic and the resonance amazing. I also have a direct cut Jethro Tull Aqualung (reminds me of Capo)

What? No Mott the Hoople? Which ANGEL? The Tower album was good but "White Hot" was better. As for Surkamp, I went to the Pavlov's Dog 30th anniversary show in '04 and that guy can still sing, put on a great show! I stilll have my original Pampered Menial album around here somewhere!

If we are talking Capo, don't you mean Iron Lung?

I don't know Capo so I hate to pile on but you all seem to have too much fun with it

QUOTE:I also have a direct cut Jethro Tull Aqualung (reminds me of Capo)

Not quite right...

Should be: Jethro Tull - Too Old to Rock and Roll but Too Young to Die (1976)

Floyd has a recent DVD from the 1989 shows called Pulse. You wouldnt believe the quality of the restoration. Worth the 300 inch screen and some concert volumes.

Also Gilmour just released a DVD - On an Island that features some harmonies with Graham NAsh and David Crosby that will stand the hairs up on the back of your neck. It was a bit too much new solo stuff for me but lots of classics.

Surcamp still tours in Austrailia where they are icons. I'd love to see him and Geddy Lee have a duet!
